The Allandale neighborhood boundaries are Burnet Road, Brentwood and Crestview neighborhoods to the East. The neighborhood is bisected by Shoal Creek Blvd, and its namesake the perennial Shoal Creek. Nearby Brentwood neighborhood was originally a cotton farm until the late 1940 when the city of Austin annexed the land. The Crestview neighborhood was built by developer A.B. Beddow on the site of an old dairy farm in the 1950s and early 1960s. Crestview is bordered by West Anderson Lane, Allandale, and Brentwood. It is located north of the city's urban core.
